Optima Sleep is a specialist clinic offering custom-made oral sleep devices, known as Airway Sleep Devices (ASD) to treat mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) and snoring. We provide evidence-based, non-invasive treatment options tailored to your specific needs.
We primarily treat:
-
Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) – mild to moderate
-
Snoring
-
CPAP-intolerant patients
We also work with patients who have sleep-disordered breathing but may not yet have a formal diagnosis.

An ASD, also known as a Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS), is a custom-fitted appliance worn during sleep. It gently holds your lower jaw forward to keep your airway open, reducing snoring and apnoea episodes.
Common symptoms include:
-
Loud snoring
-
Gasping or choking during sleep
-
Daytime sleepiness or fatigue
-
Morning headaches
-
Difficulty concentrating
We can help arrange a Home Sleep Apnoea Test (HSAT) to assess your risk.
No referral is necessary. You can contact us directly to book a consultation. We also accept referrals from GPs, dentists, and sleep specialists.
At your consultation, we’ll review your sleep history, assess your airway and bite, and discuss your symptoms. If appropriate, we’ll explain your treatment options, including whether a sleep study is needed.
We use digital 3D scanning technology to create an accurate model of your teeth and bite. The appliance is custom-fabricated and adjusted to your comfort.
Coverage will depend on your individual insurance policy. We recommend contacting your health insurance provider directly to confirm whether oral appliance therapy is included under your plan. We’re happy to provide supporting documentation for your claim if needed.
Oral devices are well tolerated by most people. Some may experience:

We closely monitor these issues and make adjustments if needed.
